A 150-strong food packaging provider in Merseyside, which supplies the likes of Aldi, Tesco and Asda, has posted a near £2m rise in turnover following a major restructure. St Helens-based Foodpack said it had upped turnover from £11.6m to £13.4m having expanded key client relationships. The business was established in October 2015 to buy the assets of Kapak out of administration. The deal was backed by Seneca Partners and supported with a refinancing package from Secure Trust Bank.
Chairman Anthony Hitchen, who was brought in as part of the transaction, said: “With a clear strategy in place and funding to facilitate growth, Foodpack is in a great position for the coming years.”
